Seng H., 30, of Kampong Cham, Cambodia, earns a daily profit of $4 purchasing and reselling recycled items. The family’s income is supplemented by her children, who work selling banana ice cream and by her husband, Heng Rim, 31, who grows rice and also sells banana ice cream in the village. The frozen treat is a favorite in the village, and Seng is requesting a loan to purchase a motorbike and cart for her husband to more efficiently operate the ice cream business.
