Living in a rural village of the Ponhea Krek district, Chanthy is 32 years old and married with two children. She earns a living by growing cabbage and raise ducks. She has been in this business for six years and earns about 60,000 KHR per day.
This is Chanthy's fourth micro-loan with Kiva’s partner and she repaid the past loans. She is applying for a new a loan to buy more ducks to raise and use a portion of the loan to buy seeds for her plantation. She hopes to grown more crops and fatten her ducks to sell them for a good price.
