Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 38-year-old Mariama, from Waterloo2, a western rural area in Freetown. She is married, with five children. She also supports two relatives at home.
Mariama runs a general merchandise shop in Waterloo2, where she sells items such as drinks and bundles of water. She has been in this business for three years. Mariama says that the main challenge to her business is price inflation.
She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone Microfinance Company Limited to purchase more drinks and water bundles for resale. She says that the extra income from this loan will help improve her family’s standard of living.
In the future, Mariama would like to see her business grow. She thanks you for your support!
