En la parroquia Calderón de la ciudad de Portoviejo, cada quince días se reúnen las socias del Grupo De Crédito Florestal. Este lugar se lo conoce por su rica gastronomía y su vegetación, la mayoría de sus habitantes se dedican a la agricultura y comercio en general.
Este es un grupo de personas que decidieron unirse y formar este Grupo De Crédito que les va a servir de mucho ya que con los créditos ellos van mejorar sus pequeños negocios. Se dedican a diversas actividades tales como agricultura, cría de animales, comercio, venta de comidas entre otras actividades.
Una de las socias de este grupo es la señora Mercedes, mantiene una relación de unión libre y de esta relación tienen tres hijos de 18, 12 y 9 años de edad, los menores estudian en colegio y escuela. Su esposo es albañil.
Doña Mercedes es una ama de casa que para obtener sus propios recursos y con esto poder ayudar a su esposo con los gastos del hogar se dedica a la venta de varios artículos de catalogo como ropa, zapatos, joyas y productos de Yanbal, Avon y Belcorp (productos de belleza, cosméticos, perfumería y accesorios para damas). Trabaja todos los días de dos a tres horas al día, ella deja sus productos a crédito y cobra cada ocho días. Tiene 6 años que se dedica a esta actividad la misma que empezó con uno de los créditos que recibió del banco.
Este crédito es para comprar perfumes, cremas, cosméticos y ropa interior. Este es el primer ciclo en el Banco Comunal pero ya estaba en otro grupo desde hace más de 6 años. Sus sueños son darles lo mejor a sus hijos.
