Sanh, 65 years old, is married and has two children, one son and one daughter. He and his wife support the family through the income they earn from their general store. They live in Ho Chi Minh City.
Sanh started this shop 30 years ago. He sells sugar, toys for children, soft drinks, yogurt and other household items to people in his community. He is requesting a loan to expand his business to prepare selling goods during the Vietnamese New Year by buying a greater variety of products, in particular foods and beverages.
The additional capital will enable him to increase his sales and he hopes his business runs smoothly and will help him to improve his living conditions.
