He has worked hard right from childhood, helping his father. His father raised him according to this principal - "forty professions are not enough for one man." This is how Ulmas is involved in various work and earns a living without choosing and dividing "business" into different categories. He is also involved in animal husbandry. He primarily breeds, fattens up and sells cattle and small livestock. His parents and brothers live with him. He plans to buy cattle and feed for them, but does not have a sufficient amount of money on hand. Ulmas decided to come to MDO "Arvand" for a loan. He hopes very much to find solutions for his problems with the obtained loan. He thanks "Arvand" in advance for the assistance and help.

About MDO Arvand

MDO Arvand is one of the leading microfinance institutions in Tajikistan, offering small loans to entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses. This makes an enormous difference in a country, which is not only the poorest in Central Asia, but also home to a population where two-thirds live below the poverty line. Today, Tajikistan's economy literally depends on remittances being sent from family members working abroad in Russia because there are so few local job opportunities.

But Arvand loans have been able to make a difference and change lives. Read about some of the incredible success stories they have seen here in this Kiva blog post: Bringing hope to Tajikistan with Arvand -- one success story at a time.
