Don Colón has been in this profession for more than 35 years and it has enabled his children and his family to get ahead.

El Grupo De Crédito San José se reúne cada 15 días en el cantón Jaramijo, este lugar es conocido por sus hermosas playas que bañan las costas de este bello lugar, aquí la mayoría de los habitantes son muy trabajadores y dedicados a las faenas del mar.
En este lugar vive don Colon, tiene 56 años de edad, está casado y de esta relación tiene diez hijos, 9 mayores de edad y el menor de 16 años que estudia en colegio, dos de ellos aun viven en su casa. Su esposa es ama de casa.
Don Colón es sastre de profesión, profesión que aprendió hace muchos años atrás, tiene un taller de costura donde se dedica a confeccionar todo tipo de ropa para caballeros y niños, trabaja a base de pedidos de personas particulares que conocen de la calidad de sus obras, aunque en temporadas también elabora uniformes para instituciones, escuelas y colegios de la localidad. Trabaja todos los días desde las 6h00 hasta las 19h00 y a veces hasta más tarde cuando tiene pedidos que entregar. Lleva más de 35 años dedicado a esta actividad con la cual ha sacado adelante a sus hijos y su familia.
