In this Group: Nazeeran, Zarina
Nazeeran is a 43-year old married woman, living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is the mother of seven children. Her husband provides white wash and oil painting services to his customers withiin the community and sometimes he also has to go out of the city.

Nazreen's husband has a new contract for the white wash and oil painting of a newly constructed house but he has no paint brushes or rollers for providing these services. Nazeeran has requested a loan for her husband so he will be able to buy new paint brushes, rollers, kerosene oil, etc.
Nazreen wants to change this condition for her family and hopes that this loan will prove beneficial for her husband. She is very thankful to Kiva and its field partner BRAC Pakistan.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
