Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 47-year-old Lamin from OIC Ropolo, Northern area in Sierra Leone. He is married with five children. He was operating a tailoring business, but customers were not coming so he started his assorted drinks business because it has fast sales and quick turnover.
Lamin runs his assorted drinks business; He sells soft drinks, Star beer and cigarettes. He has been running this business since 2003. He works at the business 12 hours per day and 6 days per week. Lamin says that the main challenge to his business is poor electrical power supply.
Lamin has requested a loan in order to buy more soft drinks, Star beer and cartons of cigarettes for resale. The extra income from this loan will allow him to become successful businessman and improve his family's standard of living. In the future, Lamin plans to expand his business to another outlet.
