Juana is a very hardworking woman, she is a mother to three children who are adults and who she has managed to help get ahead in life with the support of her husband as they have always instilled in them that through work and sacrifice anything can be achieved. Juana's home is located in the city of Camaná, a city which is characterized by agriculture, and in particular the cultivation of rice, Lima beans, corn and so on. Fishing is also carried out in the area and above all there is a wide variety of typical foods among which there is the delicious dish of "Chupe de Camarones" [prawn soup].

When she has a bit of free time, she very much likes going for a walk with her family to share a moment together. From day to day Juana works in her business selling buns, sweet pastries, fizzy drinks and so on. She works around 8 hours a day as with the fruit of her work she manages to support her husband with the household costs. She believes that her business is going well because she works cheerfully and above all because of her desire to get ahead in life.

Juana is very grateful to the Kiva loan lenders as this is the second time that they have lent her a hand; this time round she will be able to buy supplies to make her sweet goods, namely flour by the bad and merchandise for the Christmas period. In this way she will continue to work to make her biggest dream a reality, that of having a site to sell her products.

Juana es una mujer muy trabajadora, es madre de 3 hijos los cuales ya son mayores y a quienes ha sacado adelante con el apoyo de su esposo ya que ellos siempre les han inculcado que con trabajo y sacrificio todo se puede; la vivienda de Juana se ubica en la ciudad de Camaná, ciudad que se caracteriza porque se desarrolla la agricultura, en especial el cultivo de arroz, pallares, maíz, entre otros; asimismo se desarrolla la pesca y sobre todo encontramos diversidad de comidas típicas, entre las cuales se encuentra el delicioso “Chupe de Camarones”. Cuando dispone de un tiempo libre le gusta mucho pasear junto a su familia para poder compartir. Día a día Juana trabaja en su negocio de venta de bollo, alfajores, gaseosas, alfajores, entre otros; ella trabaja alrededor de 8 horas al día, ya que con el fruto de su trabajo puedo apoyar a su esposo con los gastos de su hogar; ella cree que le va bien en su negocio porque trabaja con mucho gusto y sobre todo por sus ganas de salir adelante.

Juana es muy agradecida con los prestatarios Kiva ya que es la segunda vez que le brindan su apoyo ya que en esta oportunidad podrá compra insumos para la elaboración de sus dulces principalmente harina por sacos y mercadería para las fiestas navideñas, así ella seguirá trabajando para poder hacer realidad su más grande sueño:” Tener un local para la venta de sus productos”.
