Samini is a married woman with four children; three are adults and one is in school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food.
For the past two years, she has operated a clothes selling business, selling women's wrap clothes (lessos). She cites stiff competition as her major challenge in the business.
Samini is requesting 40,000 Kenyan shillings to purchase 40 pieces of women's wrap clothes (lessos) for resale. She dreams of expanding to a wholesale shop in the near future.
