Gregorio is 66 years old. He lives with his wife and children in the village of San Luis, a rural area in the district of Santo Tomás, where the people work in agriculture and commerce. It is a community known for its rugged terrain and beautiful green landscapes, located some two hours from the district, it belongs to the province of Cultervo located in the Cajamarca region, in the northern highlands of Perú.

He works in agriculture, growing coffee and has planted approximately two hectares of a variety of Catimor coffee plants. He has been engaged in this activity for ten years and so he has a lot of experience. He is asking for a loan of 3,000 nuevos soles so he can maintain his crops by buying fertilizer and to provide payment for workers so that he can have a favorable harvest to offer at a good price to his customers, generating more income for the family.

Gregorio tiene 66 años de edad, vive junto a su esposa e hijos en el Caserío de San Luis, una zona rural del distrito de Santo Tomás, su población se dedica a la agricultura y comercio es una comunidad que se caracteriza por su relieve accidentado y hermosos paisajes verdes, ubicado a 02 horas del distrito, que pertenece a la Provincia de Cutervo, que se encuentra ubicado en la Región Cajamarca, sierra norte del Perú.

El se dedica a la agricultura, cultiva cafeto tiene sembrado aproximadamente 02 ha de la variedad catimor, el se dedica a esta actividad desde hace 10 años, por lo que cuenta con mucha experiencia, ha solicitado un préstamo de 3 000 nuevos soles para darle mantenimiento a sus cultivos con la compra de abono y pago de mano de obra y de esta manera tener una cosecha oportuna para ofrecer a un buen precio a sus clientes, generándole mayores ingresos para su familia.

This product was created to assist Edpyme Alternativa to expand their reach into rural areas of Northern Peru in order to attend more underserved populations. Kiva funding allows the institution to access the Northern areas of the Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca regions, which are generally too costly to serve and therefore less attended by financial institutions.
