Samvel is 47 years old and he lives in the village of Geghamavan, which is in Gegharkunik region. Samvel is married and he has a son who has just graduated from his school and is going into the army.

Samvel is a builder by specialty and, for many years, he worked at different companies. Now, he works at a private company, as a security officer, but Samvel, together with his wife, is also engaged in farming.

In Armenia, there is a tradition in which, when a young man goes into the army for military service, his family organizes big and cheerful party, inviting all their relatives, friends, and neighbors. The meaning of such a party is to happily see him off to the army and to make him remember all his relatives and friends, during his several years of serving in the army. They wish him safe service and peacefulness for the whole world.

So, Samvel asks for a loan of AMD 400,000 (Armenian drams) in order to organize a nice party for his son, who is going into the army.
