Zurab is 27 years old. He lives in the village of Khovle with his father and wife. Zurab works as a watchman at a capital city shopping center and goes from his village to work every day. He gets a small monthly salary. The family nevertheless lives in poverty because the existing income is not enough for their three-member family.

Zurab has requested a loan to start a dairy farm. His loan request was approved as part of the joint initiative between Kiva and Credo. The loan will be used for purchasing a milk cow. Zurab will place the cow in the cattle shed located in his yard and will start selling the milk at the local market. The family's income should increase by 150–200 GEL (Georgian Lari), which is a 40% to 50% increase. The family's living conditions will significantly improve and Zurab will be able to expand his farm in future.
