The community bank "Kantutas de Igachi" is starting its first term with Pro Mujer and is part of the regional hub of Copacabana. It is comprised of nine members, and is run by a board of directors and a president, Mrs. Jovita. The members' business is the sale of milk to distribution companies.

The loan that they will receive will benefit all of the small business owners in the group, including Jovita. She joined Pro Mujer a year ago at the invitation of a friend, who was also a member of the institution. Her current business is selling milk. She told us that she started this business on her own initiative; noticing the business opportunity, she bought a cow and started her business that way.

Jovita will use this loan to increase her capital through the purchase of cows, which she will acquire from the communities around the department of La Paz, and after raising them, she will use sell their milk. This work allows her to generate enough income to support her family. She is single and has four children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she said that she likes the savings that the institution offers.

La A.C. “KANTUTITAS DE IGACHI” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Copacabana, está compuesta por nueve integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Jovita es la Presidenta. El negocios que tienen las integrantes de la asociación comunal es la venta de leche, misma que entregan a las empresas distribuidoras.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Jovita es integrante, ella indica que hace un año que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una amiga que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de leche; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió por iniciativa propia al observar la oportunidad de negocio compro una vaca, con la cual empezó su negocio.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de vacas) que adquirirá de las comunidades del departamento de La Paz y posteriormente a la crianza lo comercializará. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar a su familia, ya que ella es soltera y tiene cuatro hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta los ahorros que ofrece la institución.
