Awatef is a 64-year-old single woman who has been working as a tailor for 44 years. Her experience and talent has resulted in a strong reputation.

Awatef shares a shop with her sister. She runs her tailoring and clothing business while her sister sells home products. Awatef can't afford to open a separate shop alone, and believes that their shared shop attracts customers to things they might need and might not have been aware of.

Today, Awatef is acquiring a loan from Kiva's partner, Al Majmoua, to increase her holiday merchandise, and purchase special fabrics to develop her tailoring business.

She hopes that one day she will be able to develop her business by opening a separate shop.
