Marta is a married woman with four children, one of whom is in school, while the rest are adults. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For over two years, Marta has operated a fruit and vegetable stall, selling from home to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her place of operation. She dreams of establishing a grocery store in the future.
With this Kshs 30,000 loan, Marta wants to purchase stocks of green vegetables, fruits, tomatoes, potatoes and onions. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
