Gladys, a 53-year-old married mother of one from Thika, has a business of mixed crop farming. She is married to Patrick, who is also a farmer. Gladys earns a monthly income of KES 12,000 which she uses to support her family.
This will mark her first loan term with VisionFund Kenya after she was introduced by an existing client. She will use the loan to purchase poultry feeds and day-old chicks for rearing. Additional income created will allow her to improve her family's standard of living. In the future, Gladys would like to expand her farming land.
Gladys hopes to save money to further educate her son, who is still in secondary school.
