Leslie Jocelin
Leslie Jocelin, 25, lives with her husband in the District of Oyotun where the people in her town work in agriculture, commerce and livestock breeding. It’s a community known for its hospitality, and local dishes which can be found in restaurants in the area; located two hours from the city of Chiclayo, on the northern coast of Peru.

She raises and sells small animals such as ducks, chickens, and turkeys and has been doing this since she got married in order to contribute to the household expenses. Her husband is a day labourer.

Leslie has requested a loan of 1,500 Peruvian Nuevos Soles to purchase a yoke, to be able to rent it out for ploughing since she is close to agricultural fields, preparing the lands for planting and thus generating a greater income for her family.

Leslie Jocelin tiene 25 años de edad, vive junto a su esposo en el distrito de Oyotun, su población se dedica a la agricultura, comercio y ganadería, es una comunidad que se caracteriza por ser hospitalaria, elaboración de platillos que se puedend encontrar en los restaurants de la zona, ubicado a dos horas de la ciudad de Chiclayo, costa norte del Perú.


Ella se dedica a la crianza y venta de animales menores patos, gallinas, pavos, desde hace que se caso para contribuir con los gastos familiares, su esposo brinda servicio de jornalearía.


Leslie ha solicitado un préstamo de 1 500 nuevos soles para la compra de una yunta, para poder alquilarlo para el servicio de arado ya que esta próximo la campaña agrícola, preparando los terrenos para cultivos y así mismo generar mayores ingresos para su familia.

This product was created to assist Edpyme Alternativa to expand their reach into rural areas of Northern Peru in order to attend more underserved populations. Kiva funding allows the institution to access the Northern areas of the Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca regions, which are generally too costly to serve and therefore less attended by financial institutions.
