Lamara is 53 years old and lives in the village of Dzimiti with her husband, grown son, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law and two grandchildren. The family runs an agricultural business and breeds cows, whose milk is used in cheese products. Lamara grows maize, citrus and nut trees as well on her own plot of land.

Their existing income is not enough for a family of seven. With this start-up loan, Lamara will purchase a truck, and her husband will work in a transportation business. He will carry and transport a variety of goods, depending on the needs and requests of his customers. For this season, Lamara’s husband will transport firewood from the forest and get a service fee. As he has the appropriate experience in this field, Lamara hopes their project will be successful and lucrative. Lamara would like to thank all Kiva lenders.
