Hieng is 64 years old, married and resides with four children in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. To earn a living, her husband runs a motor taxi service. He makes an income of $3 per day. Three of her children are garment workers who earn about $12 daily. To improve her family’s finances, Hieng is requesting a loan of $1,200 to purchase acacia trees to resell. By doing so, she would be able to generate more income for the family. In the future, she would like to purchase a truck and build a new house if possible.
