Samson is married, with eight children. He operates his rice farm to make a living.
After five years on the farm, Samson earned well so that he was able to provide the needs of the entire family. Samson always finds ways to augment the living of his family.
He borrowed a loan from GDMPC micro credit to purchase fertilizer to improve the farm.
He is hopes to gain more returns, and save a portion of it for a better future for the family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
