Betty Evelina tiene 28 años de edad, vive junto a sus tres hijos en el distrito de Oyotun, una comunidad que se caracteriza por su hospitalidad y los deliciosos platillos que ofrecen en los restaurants, de la zona, su población se dedica a la agricultura, comercio y ganadería, a dos horas de la ciudad de Chiclayo, costa norte del Perú.


Ella se dedica a la crianza y comercialización de animales como patos, pavos, gallos, gallinas, pollos, cerdos, comercializándolos en su domicilio y en los caseríos aledaños a su distrito, ha solicitado un préstamo de 1 000 nuevos soles para la compra de animales menores y alimentos balanceados para engorde de los mismos, generando mayores ingresos para su familia.

This product was created to assist Edpyme Alternativa to expand their reach into rural areas of Northern Peru in order to attend more underserved populations. Kiva funding allows the institution to access the Northern areas of the Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca regions, which are generally too costly to serve and therefore less attended by financial institutions.
