Communal Bank: Nuestra Señora de la Paz

Location: Tarapoto, San Martin Region – Peru

Loan amount: 2,000 soles

Isidora sells watches, batteries, calculators and other small electronics. With the loan of 2,000 soles, she bought the merchandise she needed to stock up her business. She is happy to report that the business is going well. Although February was a slow month, her sales are up once again.

Isidora is proud of what she has accomplished with her business. She started taking out loans because she wanted to work and needed the capital to do so. Since she became a member of her community bank, she feels like her confidence has improved. She likes being able to meet her responsibilities and pay her loan on time.
