Dúo Buena Vista Group
In this Group: Marta Lucrecia, Blanca Angelica
The one in charge of this group is Marta Lucrecia. She does machine embroidery of blouses and sells aprons. She also makes traditional güipiles collars to order for her customers. She has done this for 20 years. She has her husband's unconditional support and with her 4 children she thanks God every day for the opportunities she has been given in life. Christmas time is coming and she already has several orders of blouses to embroider but the thread that she has isn't enough. That is why she has planned on buying the cones of thread by the box so she can make some good profit because she will be spending less. That is why she is asking for a loan again to be able to buy the thread she needs to be bale to finish the blouses and not look bad to the customers. This is her third loan that she has asked Kiva for and she hasn't made a late payment. She hopes that you can help her again with the loan she has asked for.

About FAPE

FAPE, the Foundation for the Assistance of Small Businesses, is a nonprofit, socially-minded institution that provides loans to micro-entrepreneurs across Guatemala.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
