Born around 1979 in Nampasso/Kolondieba, Karim lives in Kadiana in the 3rd administrative region of Mali with his wife and four children in a nuclear family. Karim became quickly interested in income-generating activities, notably the purchase and resale of clothing. He is much sought-after in Kadiana, especially on market days. With 14 years of experience in this trade, Karim is collaborating with Soro Yiriwaso for the first time to increase his working capital so that he can better satisfy his constantly expanding customer base.

Karim intends to use this loan to buy shirts and pants for resale. He purchases from wholesalers in Bamako and conducts his sales in cash and sometimes on credit to customers at his local market. Karim hopes to make a monthly profit of 100,000 FCFA, which he will use to support his family, repay the loan and reinvest in his business.
