Abla is a 45-year-old woman, who lives in Lomé with her partner (a carpenter) and their five children who are all at school. She has worked reselling vegetables in the market since 1998, and is happy because she can use the income she obtains from this business to provide for her family.
In order to keep her customers, Abla has requested her first loan from WAGES to buy merchandise. The profit she makes will help her to expand her stall so that she can sell general food items, as well as helping her to build a house in the future.
