Saumu is a married woman who has been blessed with seven children, five school-going and two who are too young for school. She lives at her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
Saumu operates a charcoal-selling business, selling from home to her neighbours and villagers. Her greatest monthly challenge is high cost of transportation.
She is requesting a loan of Kshs 50,000 to purchase charcoal for resale. She joined Yehu to get financial support for her business.
