Gemma is a 41-year-old widowed mother of five children, whom she sacrifices her living for their education and living. She is a hard worker who puts so much effort in developing her children's living and education. Her acquired loan will be invested in paying for her children's necessary school fees. She is their sole breadwinner since her husband passed away. To make sure that they will get an education, she works hard to provide for them.
Gemma is working as a housekeeper and hopes that one day she can go back to the Philippines and start her own business next to her beloved children.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
