A loan of $275 helped to pay for labor to harvest their crops.

Marío Rodolfo's story

Mario is a hard-working young man of 21 years of age. He finished his High School which his parents struggled to provide him with in order to get ahead. He lives with his mother, who is the person who helped him in so much, growing up together with his brother. The brothers work together in agriculture and their mother is dependent on them.

Mario has worked in agriculture since he was 16. His father taught him to work the fields and thanks to this he has a lot of knowledge today about the different activities required to produce a harvest. He and his brother work together growing 10,500 square meters of corn and beans. They have to walk 45 minutes to get to their fields. And to work and to sell their harvest they have to carry the product on their backs or by animal. They don't have normal work hours, they work until the job is done.

The loan that Marío is requesting is to pay for labor to harvest their crops as it is too difficult for just him and his brother. They have a lot of work to do and this helps their client as the crops have to be transported to his house. From there the harvest can be sold and they will have income to pay the loan and help their mother with the household expenses.

Marío wants to continue working in agriculture and wants to harvest more in the coming season. So he hopes his brother will continue to help him. He also has the support of his mother to help him along. He is thinking of buying a plot of land to build his own house.
