Pantaleón
Pantaleón, 38, is single and lives with his partner and their nine children in the Sololá department. Pantaleón is a farmer and grows potatoes and onions on the land he owns. He chose this trade because he learned it from his father as a child, and he earns a good income and profit that helps cover his household expenses.

He sees that demand for vegetables is higher at this time of year. So he has applied for a loan of Q 9,000 to buy potato and onion seeds and organic fertilizer to produce a harvest to sell. His great dream is to earn more to improve his family's standard of living.
