Fredrick
Fredrick is 50 years old and lives in the town of Mbale in the region of Mbale in Uganda. He is married and has 5 children with none of them currently in school. For the past 10 years, Fredrick has been working hard to manage his stationery shop, which sells stationery items of various kinds.

To help expand his business, Fredrick has requested a loan of 3,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to add capital to the business and buy more stationery, and will help him to generate greater profits and hence open up a bigger shop. He hopes that in the future he will be able to become so rich.

Fredrick is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Fredrick who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for micro-loans.
