Hasna is a 50-year-old Lebanese widowed woman living by herself. In 1997, she started to work as a housekeeper cleaning out residences upon customer’s demands. Following her spouse passing away, she was forced to also work at a local company as a housekeeper with the aim of being able to meet life's necessities. And today, Hasna is eager to buy a stepladder, cleaning products and detergents to improve her work and end up with satisfying and agreeable results. To do so, she is applying for a loan from Kiva partner Vitas s.a.l. and she is sure that it will definitely be useful for her and her business.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
