El grupo San Cayetano está en su primer ciclo del programa de comité de mujeres, además de eso forman parte del programa de eliminación de pobreza, donde todas están haciendo encuesta de eliminación de pobreza como un medio de poder trabajar juntas y conocer la situación de cada una.
Una de las integrantes es la Sra. Gorginia, quien cría y vende animales de corral, como ser gallinas, cerdos, ovejas y demás. Comenta que su trabajo es muy duro, ya que debe estar pendiente siempre de sus animales, para que no les falte nada. Es una persona muy trabajadora y luchadora, que quiere salir adelante.
Solicita de este crédito para poder invertirlo en la compra de balanceados para sus animales, y que de esa forma pueda seguir con la cría de sus animales.

More information about this loan

This loan is part of the innovative “Poverty Stoplight” program developed by Fundación Paraguaya for women living in poverty. A “stoplight” measurement tool is used to help borrowers self-identify the type of poverty that affects them most (lack of income, dearth of financial opportunities, poor living conditions etc.). Borrowers rate 50 areas of their life as green (not poor), yellow (poor) or red (extremely poor). Together with their loan officer, they come up with a plan to resolve yellow and red indicators. Through this program, Fundación Paraguaya hopes to lift 9,000 women and their families out of poverty by 2017.
