Yohana
Yohana is 25 years old. She lives with her husband in the district of Cayaltí, a community which relies on agriculture, commerce and ranching, located two hours away from the city of Chiclayo on the northern coast of Perú.

She raises and sells small animals such as turkeys, ducks, pigs and guinea pigs in the lot behind her home. She is requesting a loan of 1,000 nuevos soles to purchase feed for the animals, and the second part of the loan will go towards the purchase of pigs. In this manner her business will grow, generating greater income for her family.

Yohana tiene 25 años de edad, vive junto a su esposo en el distrito de Cayaltí, su población se dedica a la agricultura, comercio y ganadería a dos horas de la ciudad de Chiclayo, costa norte del Perú.


Ella se dedica a la crianza y venta de animales menores pavos, patos, cerdos y cuyes en la parte posterior a su domicilio, ha solicitado un préstamo de 1 000 nuevos soles para la compra de alimentos balanceados y una segunda parte para la compra de cerdos y de esta manera incrementar su negocio, generando mayores ingresos para su familia.

This product was created to assist Edpyme Alternativa to expand their reach into rural areas of Northern Peru in order to attend more underserved populations. Kiva funding allows the institution to access the Northern areas of the Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca regions, which are generally too costly to serve and therefore less attended by financial institutions.
