Lauriano
Lauriano, 62, lives in San Felipe, a mountain district in northern Peru. San Felipe is about two hours from the city of Jaen and farming--coffee, rice and fruits, mostly--is a major source of income for local people.

Lauriano tiene 62 años de edad, vive en el distrito de San Felipe, donde su población se dedica al cultivo de café, arroz, y frutales a dos horas de la ciudad de Jaén, ubicado en la región Cajamarca, sierra norte del Perú.


El se dedica al cultivo y comercio de lima, sus clientes son la población de Pucará y Chiclayo, también cultiva frejol de palo, ha solicitado un préstamo de 2 500 nuevos soles para la compra de abono para cultivo de finca y una segunda parte para la compra de lima y así incrementar su negocio, generando mayores ingresos para una mejor calidad de vida.

This product was created to assist Edpyme Alternativa to expand their reach into rural areas of Northern Peru in order to attend more underserved populations. Kiva funding allows the institution to access the Northern areas of the Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca regions, which are generally too costly to serve and therefore less attended by financial institutions.
