Ligaya has helped her husband on their farm for a living. She is looking for ways to improve their situation. She joined GDMPC recently and is requesting a loan to purchase grocery goods to restock her store. Hopefully, she will make enough from this to supplement their income. She is hoping to sustain her store this time and earn a stable source of income in the future. She is thankful to GDMPC for allowing its members to borrow capital for their businesses.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
