Naseem's Group
In this Group: Naseem, Sakina
Naseem is age 45 and lives with her family in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She has five children only. Her husband’s income is not good but due to having few family members she can easily manage the household expenses.

She is taking a loan for her husband’s painting shop, In fact, her husband provides the services of banner writing for advertisements or publishing politicians' messages. His writing is very attractive because he has been writing banners for many years and has great practice of banner writing.

He uses pieces of cheap cloth, paint, and brushes for banner writing. He does not have enough stock of paint and cloth to continue his services. Therefore, Naseem requested a loan for her husband so that he can buy multi-coloured cans of paint, brushes, and cloth.

Naseem thanks Kiva and field partner BRAC Pakistan.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
