Estela is the secretary. The businesses of the members of the communal bank are varied, and among them are selling soft drinks, electrical shop, selling coffee, selling jackets, selling vegetables, selling shoes, selling clothes, and selling appliances.

The loan that they will take out will benefit small businesswomen where Estela is a member. She says that she has been a member of Pro Mujer for two years. She joined by invitation from an adviser with the institution who went to visit her at her house. She currently has a business of selling provisions like rice, sugar, and grains, etc. She learned this business several years ago on her own initiative when she saw that these products are sold a lot in the market.

The loan that she will now take out is to increase capital to buy provisions that she will get from the wholesale distributors in the city of El Alto. She will later sell the provisions by order. This way of working allows her to generate resources to support her family. She is married and has one child.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she replied that she likes the health services and the loans that the institution offers.

La A.C. “CANDELARIA” iniciará el trigésimo primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Villa Adela, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Estela es la Secretaria. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de frescos, taller de electricidad, venta de café, venta de chamarras, venta de verduras, venta de calzados, venta de ropa, venta de artefactos.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Estela es integrante, ella indica que hace doce años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una promotora de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de víveres (arroz, azúcar, cereales, etc.); da a conocer que este negocio lo aprendió hace varios años atrás, por iniciativa propia al observar que estos productos son muy comerciales en el mercado.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de víveres) que adquirirá de las distribuidoras mayoristas de la Ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente lo comercializará a pedido. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener a su familia, ya que ella es casada y tienen un hijo.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta los servicio de salud y crédito que ofrece la institución.
