Pedro
Pedro, 32, is married and lives with his wife and two daughters, ages two and three in the Solola region.

Pedro has a shoe store in the capital city and travels there twice a week to oversee the business. The rest of the time he works as a hired farm worker. He is also continuing his education and currently studying nursing in Quetzaltenango. His aim is to improve his family's quality of life because when he was young he was not fortunate enough to have his parents around long before they died.

Now, due to the progress his business has had as far as profits are concerned, he wants to finish building his house. He is requesting a loan in the amount of 5,000 GTQ to buy construction finishing materials. He will pay back the loan with income from his shoe business.

His greatest desire is to get his nursing degree and finish his house for his family's comfort.
