Adline is married and blessed with four children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has no electricity or piped-in water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees. Adline earns a living by cooking food to sell in a local market. Most of her customers are neighbors and passersby. Her biggest challenge is left-over food. She dreams of establishing a cafe in the future. She is requesting a loan for Kshs 20,000 to buy food ingredients such as beans, rice, wheat flour, maize flour, sugar and cooking oil. Adline decided to join Yehu to access financial support so that she will be able to expand her business
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
