Eufemia is 52 years old and lives with her children in the District of Cayalti. Her town is known for agriculture, primarily the cultivation of sugar cane, as well as for trade and livestock breeding. This community is located two hours away from the city of Chiclayo, which is on the northern coast of Peru.

For the past five years, Eufemia has been raising and selling small animals. Her business is located behind her home. Her children help with the work. Eufemia is requesting a loan of 1,000 PEN in order to buy balanced feed and small animals that she can fatten. She will sell them later at a better price so that she can generate more income for her family.

Eufemia tiene 52 años de edad, vive con sus hijos en el distrito de Cayalti, su población se dedica a la agricultura, principalmente al cultivo de caña, comercio y ganadería, a dos horas de la ciudad e Chiclayo, costa norte Perú.

Desde hace cinco años se dedica a la crianza y venta de animales menores, su negocio está ubicado en la parte posterior a su domicilio, sus hijos le apoyan en esta labor.

Ella ha solicitado un préstamo de 1 000 nuevos soles para la compra de alimentos balanceados y compra de animales pequeños para posteriormente engordarlos y ofrecerlos a mejor precio, generándole ingresos mayores para su familia.

This product was created to assist Edpyme Alternativa to expand their reach into rural areas of Northern Peru in order to attend more underserved populations. Kiva funding allows the institution to access the Northern areas of the Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca regions, which are generally too costly to serve and therefore less attended by financial institutions.
