Update on Mollecato GroupThese are the members of the communal bank “MOLLECATO.” This bank is located in the Urcos district, part of the Quispicanchis province and the Cusco department.
One member is Tomasa. She has a live-in partner, is 53 years old, and has two children. She works in her business raising animals. She raises animals like chickens and ducks. She fattens and grows them, and then she sells them in the different markets and fairs. She works from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. She has made a living through this business for five years and it is going very well for her. Tomasa’s dream is to have a space where she can sell the animals. She is requesting this loan to purchase chickens and ducks.
The other members make their livings through the sale of animals, a business selling agriculture, a grocery store, and a business selling food.
Tomasa is thankful to those who are becoming a part of this dream through this means, and she promises to make her payments in the established time period.
