There are seven members in the Bendición de Dios Group. They are responsible mothers and fathers who are raising five children between them. They are from El Sauce in the north of the country. The group is known for its hard work, responsibility, and desire to get ahead. In their free time they enjoy being with their children. They were not able to attend school as they had to work from a young age.

Carla is the coordinator of the group as she is energetic and keen to make progress. She earns her living selling shoes in the streets and from her house. She spends about eight hours a day at work selling sandals, shoes, runners, children's shoes, and leather footwear. Carla needs a loan so she can buy more stock and earn more money in the not too distant future.

El grupo solidario Bendición de Dios está conformado por seis integrantes madres y padres responsables con cinco hijos bajo su responsabilidad. Ella son originarias del Sauce lugar que está ubicado en la zona norte del país. Este grupo se caracteriza por ser trabajador, responsable, con ganas de superación personal, en sus ratos libre le gusta, disfrutar de la compañía de sus hijos, lamentablemente no pudo cursar estudio y se vio obligada a trabajar desde temprana edad.

Gracias a su esfuerzo y sus ganas de salir adelante la coordinadora del g.s. es Carla y tiene por actividad económica la venta de calzado de forma ambulante y en su casa de habitación. Ella dedica a su negocio unas 8 horas diarias ofreciendo su producto como sandalias, zapatillas, deportivos, de niños, de cuero. El objetivo del crédito es invertir en capital de trabajo y surtir su negocio para que en un futuro no muy lejano pueda obtener mejores ingresos. El g.s. Bendición de Dios agradece la ayuda que los inversionistas kiva les brindan a personas de escasos recursos y países pobre como es Nicaragua para tener un medio de trabajo digno.

This loan is administered by Fundación Leon 2000. Fundación Leon 2000 began operations in 1993 as the first microfinance institution to serve the western part of Nicaragua, a country which continues to be one of the poorest in the western hemisphere. Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise. Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth. Fundación Leon 2000’s group of experienced and dedicated employees works in 7 offices in Leon, Chinandega, Chichigalpa, Somotillo, Jinotepe, El Sauce, and Nagarote and serves several thousand clients (the majority of whom are women).
