Lien lives with her husband and two children in Ho Chi Minh City. She and her husband run an internet café. Lien started this business four years ago. Lien would like to take a loan to expand her current business in order to attract additional customers. With the loan, she will upgrade the computer's system to better serve her customers. Lien hopes that through the loan, her business will generate a higher income and will help her to improve her family's living conditions, as well as enable her to set aside some savings.

Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP) is a non-profit Vietnamese microfinance institution that operates in the provinces of southeastern Vietnam and the Mekong Delta. CEP's head office is located in Ho Chi Minh City. This institution’s mission is to work with, and for, the poor and poorest to realize sustained improvements in well-being through the provision of financial and complementary non-financial services in an honest, efficient, and sustainable manner.
