Telesia is thirty six years old and married with 5 children. She would like to start a small business, which is sewing. In order to do this, Telesia needs a loan to buy an overlock sewing machine, needles, materials, and threads.
She hopes to use her profits to buy more stuff needed in her business. She has been a member of SPBD since 2010.
South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) improves conditions for families living in poverty by providing accessible credit, training, and guidance to help them start, grow and maintain micro-businesses, build assets, finance home improvements, and afford to educate their children. 99% of SPBD’s loans go to women, who can borrow in groups to guarantee one another rather than put up collateral.
