Santos Julio tiene 63 años de edad, vive junto a su esposa e hijos en el distrito de La Matanza, su población se dedica a la agricultura, ganadería y comercio, es una comunidad extensa con bosques de algarrobo, a dos horas de la ciudad de Piura, costa norte del Perú.


Junto a su familia se dedican a la producción y comercialización de plátano, distribuyéndolo en los mercados de la zona.


El ha solicitado un préstamo de 3 000 nuevos soles para comprar urea y fertilizantes, para abonar su finca, teniendo una mejor producción para ofrecer a sus clientes.

This product was created to assist Edpyme Alternativa to expand their reach into rural areas of Northern Peru in order to attend more underserved populations. Kiva funding allows the institution to access the Northern areas of the Piura, Lambayeque, and Cajamarca regions, which are generally too costly to serve and therefore less attended by financial institutions.
