The communal bank 6 De Agosto, part of the Copacabana regional office, will begin its third loan from Pro Mujer. This group is composed of 8 members and is led by a board of directors of which Celestina is president. The members of this communal bank work in various businesses such as selling cheese and freeze-dried potatoes, buying and selling livestock, milk, flowers, and fish.

This loan will benefit small businesowners such as Celestina. She points out that this is the first time she has joined Pro Mujer, having been invited by friend who is a member of this institution. Currently she sells flowers and she says that she started this business of her own accord when she saw that this product was highly demanded in the market.

The loan Celestina is requesting is to buy more flowers from wholesalers in the city of El Alto and sell them from her stall. This kind of job allows her to obtain more income to support her family. She is married and has two kids. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer she says that she likes that the members of the group can save money.

La A.C. “6 DE AGOSTO” iniciará el tercer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Copacabana, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Celestina es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de queso y tunta, compra y venta de ganado, venta de leche, venta de flores, venta de pescado.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Celestina es integrante, ella indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de su amiga que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de flores; da a conocer que este negocio aprendió por iniciativa propia hace varios años, al observar que este producto se vendía con amplia solicitud en el mercado.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de flores) que adquirirá de las vendedoras mayoristas de la Ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente lo comercializará a en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener a su familia, ya que ella es casada y tiene dos hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta los ahorros que se realizan en el grupo.
