Christine
Christine is married with five children and all her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members. She has a restaurant and has been in this business for two years. She gets additional income from selling piped water. She has applied for a loan of 700,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT SACCO to buy more bunches of green bananas, flour, rice, Irish potatoes, cassava and fish.

Christine works from home seven days out of every week and sells on a retail basis. Her major business challenges include seasonality and defaulters. She is aspiring of owning a fully stocked restaurant and also buying a plot of land. She decided to join MCDT SACCO because they are cooperative. She resides in her own house and the family has access to piped water but does not have access to electricity. Her monthly expenses include school fees, feeding the family.
