Hoa, 57, is married and has four children. She lives with her family in Ho Chi Minh City. Her husband earns an income as a driver for hire. Hoa started a food stall to sell fried rice 8 years ago. She is requesting a loan to expand her business by buying greater quantity of rice to restock, increase her sales, and better satisfy her customers. She hopes that her business runs smoothly and generates a higher income to assist her in improving her family's living conditions.

Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP) is a non-profit Vietnamese microfinance institution that operates in the provinces of southeastern Vietnam and the Mekong Delta.
